What is a DUPR rating?
DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is the global standard for rating pickleball players, from about 2.0 (beginner) to 8.0 (pro). Most leagues, ladders and tournaments use it to group players fairly.
What's a Coach-Assigned Rating?
It's an official DUPR starting rating given by a credentialed DUPR Coach to a player who has never logged a match. Your coach assesses you across 8 game areas and submits the rating to your DUPR account — so you can start competing right away instead of waiting to grind out matches.
Who is eligible?
Only non-rated (NR) players — those who haven't logged any DUPR doubles matches yet. If your DUPR Doubles shows NR, you're eligible.
I already have a DUPR rating — can you rate me?
No. A Coach-Assigned Rating only applies to non-rated players and won't change an established DUPR. If you've already logged matches, message us and we'll point you to coaching or match-play options instead.
Does it affect my singles rating?
No — the Coach-Assigned Rating applies to your Doubles DUPR only. Your Singles rating is unaffected.
How long until I get my rating?
Your coach assesses you during the session and submits your rating shortly after; you'll get an email confirmation and see it on the My DUPR Coach app, plus your DUPR account once the two are linked.
Can I do it online?
Yes. In-person sessions in Bangalore are ideal, but remote/video assessments are available if you can't make a court session.
What should I bring?
Your paddle, court shoes and water — and your phone with the DUPR and My DUPR Coach apps installed (we send the links when you book).
