Things to do

Eight days of pickleball in a beach city ringed by mountains, marble caves and three UNESCO towns. Here's what to do between sessions — and where to book each, so a rest day is sorted in a tap.

Before you plan

How the week
gives you time

The open International Tournament fills the first half of the week, but Team India's national-team draws run Sep 3–6 — so the smart move is to front-load sightseeing on Aug 30 – Sep 2, then live in the arena for the business end. Most attractions here are a 10–45 minute Grab from the venues.

Two things to plan around: Sep 2 is Vietnam's National Day, which falls mid-Cup and packs out the big sights with domestic crowds, and early September can be wet — book tours with free cancellation and keep an indoor option (a cooking class, the Marble Mountains caves) in your back pocket.

Good to know

  • Book refundable. Weather and National Day demand both swing in early September — flexible tickets are worth it.
  • Carry dong. Tours take cards online, but tips, snacks and Grab top-ups want VND.
  • Sorted your visa? Indians need a Vietnam e-visa — how to get there covers it.
