Where to stay

Both arenas sit on the west bank of the Han River — and 4,000 athletes from 80+ nations land the same week. Here's how to pick your base, with stays for every budget from cliff-top suites to $8 dorms.

The lay of
the land

Both venues — Tien Son Sports Palace and Tuyen Son Sports Village — sit in Hai Chau district on the west bank of the Han River, about 3 km from the airport. The beach, and most of the city's famous food and nightlife, is on the east bank.

That gives you three realistic bases: the city centre right by the arenas, the My Khe / An Thuong beach quarter ten minutes across the river, or the resort strip further south. Nothing is far — a Grab across town rarely tops 25 minutes.

Three areas,
three trips

Distance below is to Tien Son Sports Palace, the main arena. Every stay on this page is tagged to one of these three.

Hai Chau · City Centre

0 – 2.5 km · walk or 5-min Grab

The west bank of the Han River — where both venues sit. Riverside high-rises, Dragon Bridge, Han Market and the city's street-food core.

Best for The all-round base: beach mornings, matches by day, nightlife after.

Non Nuoc · Resort Strip

8 – 12 km · 20–25 min Grab

The five-star strip running south along quiet sand towards the Marble Mountains. Big grounds, multiple pools, full-board ease.

Best for Families and anyone making a holiday of the Cup week.

Five things
to know

Booking notes for the Cup week

  • Book refundable, book now. 4,000 athletes from 80+ nations land the same week — the close-in Hai Chau stock goes first.
  • Sep 2 is Vietnam's National Day. It falls mid-Cup, stacking domestic holiday demand on top of the event.
  • Weather:hot and mostly dry, 27–34°C. Early September can throw the season's first storm — the arenas are indoors either way.
  • Pick your bank of the river. West means walking to matches; east means the beach. A Grab across is 10–15 minutes off-peak.
  • Carry dong. Hotels take cards, but Grab top-ups and street food want VND. Indians need a Vietnam e-visa — apply online well before August.

Rates on this page are indicative nightly prices for the Cup week as seen in June 2026 — they will move as the draw and ticket dates firm up. The booking links open Agoda pre-filled with the event dates (Aug 29 – Sep 7) so you can compare live prices in one tap.
