Questions
- Why does a nation with more points rank lower?
- Because the table is ordered the way medal tables normally are — by gold first, then silver, then bronze — not by points. On the International board India have 56 points to the USA's 50 and still rank below them, because the USA won more golds. Sort by the Points column if you want the other view.
- How are the points calculated?
- Gold is worth 3, silver 2, bronze 1 — the organisers' own scoring. Ties are broken by golds, then silvers, then bronzes.
- Why are there more bronzes than silvers?
- Contents without a third-place playoff award two bronzes, so both losing semi-finalists are placed third. That is why the bronze column runs ahead of the silver column across the table.
- Do the medal counts add up to the number of events?
- No, and they are not meant to. A pair of mixed nationality is credited to both nations, so a single medal can appear twice on this table — once against each country.
- What is the 'Unknown' row?
- The organisers' own standings carry a row named Unknown — medals their data could not attribute to a nation. We reproduce it rather than dropping it, because dropping it would silently change every total below it.
- Is this the final medal table?
- Not necessarily. This page was read from the organisers' standings at 6 September 2026 at 9:35 am, while finals were still being played — the USA gained a gold within twenty minutes of our first read. Check the official portal before quoting it as final.
