The ticket everyone had been told did not exist has appeared. General admission for the Pickleball World Cup is on sale on Ticketbox.vn, Vietnam's main ticketing platform, as seven single-day tickets running from August 31 to September 6. The cheapest is 250,000 dong — a shade over 900 rupees.
This is a straight reversal of what we reported five days ago, and it is worth being clear about why we got it wrong. The organisers put general admission on a third-party platform and did not put it on their own portal, which is the only place anyone watching this event had been told to look. The sporttora page still sells nothing but the four VVIP hospitality packages. Anyone checking there today would still conclude there is no way in.
The prices are per day, per person, and they are not flat. Baseline seating — behind the court ends — is 500,000 dong on August 31, September 1, 2 and 5, drops to 250,000 on September 3 and 4, and rises to 1,000,000 for finals day. The Kitchen stand, side-on at the non-volley line and the better view of the net, runs 350,000 to 1,500,000 by the same pattern. Above those sit VIP, an SVIP tier that exists on finals day only, and VVIP courtside tables that reach 25,000,000 dong, around 91,500 rupees, for September 6.
The grid looked odd at first — September 3 and 4 are the cheapest days on it, and the national-team competition has its heaviest rounds on the 4th. The open-draw order of play, published the same day, explains it. This ticket admits you to Tien Son and nowhere else, and Tien Son has open-draw play on only four of the seven ticketed days: a Pro final-day programme on August 31, September 1 and September 2, and all five Pro Grand Finals on September 6. September 3, 4 and 5 have none at all, and the 4th is a full rest day for every open draw. What is left on those days is the national-team competition, whose venue assignments the organisers have never published.
So the cheap ticket is cheap because less is confirmed to be happening in the arena you are buying into. If you are picking one day, September 6 at 1,000,000 dong has the five Grand Finals running back to back from 10:10 to 15:35. If that is too much, the 500,000-dong days on August 31, September 1 and September 2 each carry a full Pro winner, semi-final and bronze programme.
Two things to note before you book. The first is that only the Tien Son Sport Center is ticketed. The other six venues, the ordinary Da Nang clubs where most of the 76 courts sit, are not on this listing at all — which is consistent with the read we have carried since August, that most of this tournament simply cannot be gated. The second is that August 30, the tournament's actual opening day of play, is not sold. Nor is there a multi-day or week pass; seven separate days means seven separate purchases.
The finals-day Kitchen stand is already showing as sold out, on the first day these went public. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, capped at ten per account per transaction, and the checkout basket expires after fifteen minutes. Entry requires photo ID matching the name on the ticket, so Indian buyers should book in the name on the passport they will travel with.
